Jordan enjoys working with clients to help them recognize the talents, skills, and traits that they already possess, despite current and past setbacks. When meeting with Jordan, clients can expect an accepting and collaborative environment where they can develop insight into their experiences, behaviors, and relationships, as well as build healthy coping habits, self-care skills, and positive self-regard.

The process of taking steps to heal from trauma, life’s stressors, and build resilience can seem insurmountable at times. Jordan recognizes the courage required to seek out therapy, and she embraces her clients’ needs and goals at every step in their therapeutic journey. She works to build a solid therapeutic relationship by providing a safe, compassionate, and reflective space where clients can address their concerns and build concrete skills in order to meet their goals.

With experience serving clients from diverse backgrounds in residential, community, and therapy school settings, Jordan tailors treatment to clients’ specific needs. She often utilizes a variety of therapeutic techniques and approaches including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Trauma-focused CBT, Solution-focused, Strengths-focused, and mindfulness.

Qualifications & Certifications

Jordan Meehan, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Illinois. She obtained her Master’s in Social Work from Indiana University in 2016. Jordan was also an HRSA-Transitional Age Youth Fellow and received specialized training to provide services to adolescents and young adults.
